High-performance carbon kayak paddles, built to your exact specification
Each paddle is made using advanced prepreg carbon construction, incorporating Innegra fibres, delivering a blade that is exceptionally light, strong and consistent. The controlled resin content and high-pressure curing process create a tighter, more durable structure with superior edge wear compared to traditional lay-up methods.
The result is a paddle that feels clean through the water, responds instantly at the catch, and maintains stability throughout the stroke.
The blade profile supports efficient entry and release, reducing drag and improving control in a wide range of conditions, from technical river use to open water paddling.
Carbon / Innegra Construction
Ainsworth paddles are built using a high-performance prepreg Carbon / Innergra system, where resin is pre-impregnated into the fibres before moulding.
This process allows:
Lower weight
Higher structural strength
Improved durability at the blade edge
Greater consistency from paddle to paddle
Shaft Design
The shaft uses a carbon composite construction with integrated bi-axial carbon reinforcement.
This combination provides:
High stiffness for efficient power transfer
Increased resilience under load
Improved durability over time
By blending materials, the shaft delivers strength without becoming brittle, maintaining a balanced and controlled feel during use.
Built Around You
Every paddle is made to order.
Choose your blade type, length, shaft configuration and feel to create a paddle that matches your paddling style and environment.
Available in one-piece and split configurations, including travel-ready multi-piece builds.
Performance Without Compromise
This is not a standard production paddle.
It is a purpose-built tool, designed to deliver strength, precision and efficiency where it matters most — on the water.
High-performance carbon canoe paddles, built to your exact specification.
Designed for control, precision and efficient power transfer, each paddle is made using advanced prepreg carbon construction to deliver a strong, lightweight and responsive feel on the water.
Whether for technical white water or general river use, the paddle is built to perform cleanly through the stroke with consistent control and minimal wasted movement.
Carbon Construction
Each paddle is manufactured using a high-performance prepreg carbon process, creating a tight, durable structure with excellent strength-to-weight balance.
This results in:
Reduced overall weight
High structural strength
Improved durability over time
Consistent performance from paddle to paddle
Blade Performance
The blade is designed to provide a stable, controlled stroke, allowing you to place power exactly where it is needed.
This gives:
Strong, predictable catch
Clean release
Reliable control in moving water
Efficient power transfer throughout the stroke
Shaft Design
All canoe paddles are built with straight carbon shafts, delivering a direct and responsive connection between paddler and blade.
The construction is tuned to provide:
Efficient power transfer
Strength under load
A balanced, controlled feel
Grip Options
Choose the grip style that suits your paddling:
White Water T Grip – maximum control and security in demanding conditions
Ergo Grip – shaped for comfort and natural hand positioning over longer sessions
Built Around You
Every paddle is made to order.
Grip choice, blade setup and overall feel are tailored to the individual paddler, ensuring the final paddle matches your technique and environment.
Performance Without Compromise
This is not a standard production paddle.
It is a purpose-built tool designed for control, durability and confidence on the water.
High-performance carbon SUP paddles, built to your exact specification.
Each paddle is made using advanced prepreg carbon construction, delivering a blade that is light, strong and consistent. The controlled resin process creates a tighter structure with excellent durability and clean performance through the water.
The Ainsworth dihedral blade design stabilises the stroke, reducing flutter and allowing smooth, efficient power transfer from entry through to release.
Carbon Construction
Ainsworth SUP paddles are built using a high-performance prepreg carbon system, where resin is pre-impregnated into the fibres before moulding.
This allows:
Lower overall weight
Increased structural strength
Improved edge durability
Consistent performance across every paddle
The carbon weave is designed to distribute load effectively, improving strength without adding unnecessary weight.
Blade Design
The dihedral blade features a central ridge with subtle power curves on either side, helping control water flow across the blade face.
This provides:
Stable, flutter-free strokes
Consistent power delivery
Better control, even under load
Efficient entry and clean release
Available in three sizes:
Small
Medium
Large
Each size can be matched to the paddler’s strength, style and intended use.
Shaft Construction
The shaft uses a carbon composite structure with bi-axial reinforcement to improve strength and durability.
This delivers:
Efficient power transfer
Increased resilience under load
A controlled, responsive feel through the stroke
Adjustable & Fixed Options
SUP paddles are available with:
Fixed-length shafts for maximum stiffness and performance
Adjustable shafts for flexibility across different riders or conditions
Shorter lengths favour a higher cadence and more aggressive paddling style, while longer lengths provide a more relaxed cruising stroke.
Built Around You
Every paddle is made to order.
Blade size, shaft type, length and configuration are all tailored to the individual paddler, ensuring the final setup matches your height, technique and environment.
Performance Without Compromise
This is not a standard production paddle.
It is a purpose-built tool designed to deliver stability, efficiency and control on every stroke.
The Ainsworth Dihedral
The Ainsworth Dihedral blade was originally developed in 1987 for the K100 kayak paddle, one of the most successful paddle designs ever made. The same proven geometry now powers the Ainsworth SUP range.
A raised central ridge divides the blade into two symmetrical panels, creating a self-stabilising effect through the water. The result is a clean, controlled stroke with no flutter, no correction and no wasted energy. The blade goes exactly where you put it.
A precision-moulded 1.4mm blade tip allows for an exceptionally clean entry, delivering immediate power from the very start of the stroke.
The optional crankshaft further improves efficiency by aligning the wrist, forearm and shoulder naturally at the point of highest load. This reduces strain over distance and allows for greater power transfer with less fatigue.
Each paddle is built in carbon using processes developed by Andrew Ainsworth and remains one of the only implementations of this design in composite form.
Every paddle is made to order in the UK, with blade size, shaft type and setup tailored to the individual paddler.
