Regular Peak Skid Lid
from £69.00
Based on the clean lines of the Regular design with a peak that is useful protection against the sun and glare. New skid lid cut also provides even greater temple protection than before.
Helmet construction: performance built in
Skid Lids have a new lightweight construction offering a substantial weight saving – now down to as little as 350g. The stylish design has been further developed with a new cut for even more temple protection than before.
Comfortable lining: as the Skid Lid’s shell has such strong shock absorbency, it can have a soft comfortable lining. Be wary of helmets that have harder foam linings: they need this hard lining to pass the CE test. Our helmets are more comfortable to wear thanks to a new liner fastening system, permanently embedded in the helmet shell during manufacture.
Comfort features:
Measure around the orbit of your head and choose the size of helmet accordingly. All sizes in between can be accommodated by the extra padding in the pocket at the back of the liner. It is better to get a slightly larger helmet and pad it out.

When choosing a helmet, it is important to research how much protection different brands of helmets offer. To pass the CE* test, helmets have to have shock absorbency of less than 250G (G being the measurement of deceleration). Skid Lids have less than 50G – making them five times more shock absorbent than the CE test requires. Be wary of helmets that only just pass the CE test.
Skid Lid - there is no other helmet like it for performance, comfort and style
The CE approval test demonstrated that Skid Lids have absorbent properties that outperformed all other helmets. While other helmets often only stood up to a single impact before degrading, Skid Lids remained effective over multiple impacts.
*CE stands for Conformité Européenne, which is French for European Conformity. A product cannot be sold in the EU unless it has passed compliance testing to receive the CE mark.
